The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Fearless! Hudson Valley to launch the Risk Reduction Response Program, an initiative that helps identify victims at the highest risk of serious injury or homicide by an intimate partner.

Through confidential lethality assessments, deputies can quickly evaluate danger, begin immediate safety planning, and connect victims with trained Fearless! advocates who provide crisis intervention, emergency resources, and ongoing support.

This evidence-based approach strengthens law enforcement’s response by combining public safety with victim advocacy—ensuring survivors receive the help they need when it matters most.

Programs like this demonstrate the power of collaboration between law enforcement and community organizations to reduce violence, improve outcomes, and protect those most at risk.
