Companies like Home Depot have a Loss prevention Department and employee the use of Loss Prevention Agents/Store Security, to apprehend shoplifters.

Many times, Loss prevention Agents deal with aggressive shoplifters who refuse to cooperate. These characters may even assault the security agent. Uncertain Times: The Need for Security Protection

“The need to have armed security guards at public events has never been greater than today. A 70 year old volunteer security guard saved the life of a church goer. The security guard was able to disable the threat immediately and thankfully the church goer got home safely.” — Frank Costa, President of Nexgen Protection Security Services.

Increased Demand for Security Guard Protection Amid COVID Pandemic

Increased Demand for Security Guard Protection Amid COVID Pandemic

Security companies are scrambling to hire guards and IT workers as businesses worry about break-ins to closed properties and cybersecurity issues associated with working remotely.

Frank Costa, President of NEXGEN Protection Security —

“Due to the civil unrest and in conjunction with corona virus, society has been very tense. The level of criminal activity has created a demand for security guards. Hiring a professional security agency to handle your business security needs is critical.

Security Guard Protection firms such as Allied Universal hire security guards who typically have relative limited customer service experience. The security guard field experiences a large turnover in staff with clients generally unhappy with new guard services provided.

Customer focus is everything. At Nexgen Protection, we treat each one of clients with the white glove treatment. Our corporate vision is not to be the largest but to provide the highest quality security guard services in the area. ”

Employment Screening Trends

Employment Screening Trends in 2021

UTILIZE BACKGROUND CHECKS TO MITIGATE RISK

Frank Costa, President of NEXGEN Protection Security —

“Organizations have to manage risk. Without risk, there’s no reward. Without employees, you don’t have much of a business. In order to mitigate this risk, employee backgrounds checks are vital.

In the last 10 years or so, there has been changes to the law, on how background checks should be used, and what information is reportable or not.  I highly recommend employers to hire an attorney that specializes in labor law, to develop standards of use for employee background checks.

Due to the current COVID situation, court records are currently not readily available. The new trend is to routinely conduct follow-up background checks on employees to make sure there was no changes in the record. The world has become increasingly volatile and uncertain.”

How Do I Handle an Inappropriate Social Media Post?

How Do I Handle an Inappropriate Social Media Post?

THINK BEFORE YOU TWEET

Frank Costa, President of NEXGEN Protection Security —

“Companies should have a social media policy in their employee handbook. When an employee makes public grievances, it can cause harm to an organization’s reputation and even affect their bottom line. Employ the services of an experienced security firm to have the matter investigated.

Time is a factor, be sure to quickly handle the crisis. Properly preserve digital evidence, and immediately conduct a fact-finding interview with those concerned.  Once these steps are completed, a detailed report should be generated and forwarded to the executive team who will make proper disposition of the case. Parties involved with either be counseled or terminated.”

Background Checks

NEXGEN Investigations Announces New Background Check Web Portal

News Release

For Immediate Release

Monroe, NY | May 30, 2015 — NEXGEN Investigations President Frank Costa announced today that NEXGEN Background Investigations services implemented a new fully automated, easy to use background check website to process and access pre-employment screenings securely.

The online background check screening portal is of enterprise quality, capable of handling 500 background check screening requests an hour. The system is configured to fill orders automatically, pulling information from their respective providers. The system can fill order requests from DMV abstracts detailing traffic court violations as well as criminal records from the Federal law enforcement agencies.

Medical, auto and worker’s compensation fraud are at the forefront of the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s focus. The incidence of fraud is pervasive, especially in new job applicants. NEXGEN’s background check system helps narrow down the selection of qualified candidates. Eliminate the risk of taking on a dishonest employee by verifying education and employment experience to limit your firm’s exposure to risk.

“This robust background screening portal accesses several governmental and credit reporting databases, processing a complete and comprehensive final report in PDF format. The background check is fast, freeing up organizations to focus on hiring qualified candidates.” — Frank Costa NEXGEN Investigations President.

All sources accessed during the discovery detail the level of confidence of how credible the candidates information is. Notices with determinations can be automatically generated via email notifying the organization of the details the report and overall assessment. NEXGEN generates an “Adverse Letter” to all applicants deemed not well suited to the position applied to. The Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA) requires that  applicants be notified in writing that an adverse action is being considered, this gives candidates time to challenge the report for any incorrect data.
